I am arriving to this space, in a season that is so busy that many days are a blur between rising and lying down for rest each night. I am engaged deeply in things that are asking me to deeply trust, be agile and practice hope.

I try to dream about our collective future at least once a day. It allows hope to be medicine for my heart in a time that in many ways feels chaotic, violent and volatile. Growing + unfurling.
A recent puppet they made at their learning cooperative and constructed on their Gigi’s sewing machine.
I have lately had time to witness the young people we are parenting, ages 12 and 10, in new ways as they age, grow in their capacity to be responsible, cook food, build their own community and learn new things that they then teach us. It gives me hope about the future and inspires we into action to ensure they will have all they need to be present, whole and hopeful. Seeing them grow and unfurl reminds me of the hope I held when I first met them earthside and propels me in action towards a shared future that is different from what we are continuing to experience and witness.
Since I started this post, with my family, friends, and our kids, I have sown hundred of seeds. I have supported cutting down trees and milling wood to build a tiny house to be able to house others. I have been practicing feeding people outside of our household through out the week, because they exist and deserve foods. I have leaned back into my writing and movement practices each morning and night. It has been the medicine to activate my hope in what is possible.
What practices are you using to remain tethered to hope?

I am doing it in this moment to help with the cost of sending these growing to youth to their first sleep away camp experience. They have been asking for a while now and my hope is to be able to make it happen this year.
May you be nourished. May you feel cared for. May you know that you deserve ease, love and peace. May it be on its way to all of us.
